Lunar New Year is a mix series of alternate future/universe skins in League of Legends. Set around the mythos and festivals of Ionia's Lunar Revel and real-world Asian Lunar New Year, all of the champion skins were inspired by these regions cultures. It's time to look back, to celebrate with family and friends, to join together and remember all that has happened, the good and the bad. And as the fireworks light up the night sky, we look forward to a new year filled with wonderful memories with the ones we hold dear. Lunar New Year officially encompasses six skin lines: Dragon Lantern, Heavenscale, Lunar Beast, Lunar Revel, Lunar Revel: Firecracker and Porcelain.

The former lord of the celestial beasts had initially planned on challenging the newly crowned Empress' authority at the Lunar Gala, but in a rare show of kindness, Morgana welcomed Aurelion Sol and his followers to the celebration. Moved by the Empress' benevolence, he is now determined to make certain that no harm comes to his new friends or the gala.
